Brenda has been expanding her repertoire in 2008 to include landscapes from Provence, Italy, New Mexico, as well as Colorado, still lifes, portraits, and more. As always, Brenda's sensitive treatment of color, light, and composition remain uniquely her own. New pieces will be added to the website at intervals as they are completed, so please check back later to see Brenda's latest paintings.
Working in oils, Brenda Hendrix paints fine art landscapes, primarily of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. Representational in effect, her style combines strong, almost sculptural compositions with abstract design, subtle color, and loose, fresh brushwork. Brenda´s artistry conveys her impressions of both the grand vistas and intimate scenes of the western landscape.
Brenda´s oil paintings are available through Brenda Hendrix Studio & Gallery in Denver, Colorado. Brenda is a fine art instructor in oil painting at the Curtis Arts and Humanities Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado. She also offers weekly workshops at her studio, and has taught individual and group oil painting workshops to artists in the United States and Mexico.
